Our focus in this bathroom remodel is on surface texture and the subtle interplay of neutrals. The client was eager to feature calacutta marble — its neutral tone is the perfect backdrop for Asian-inspired walls. Geometric taupe fretwork tiles are grand but not ostentatious, while floor-to-ceiling marble walls and marble mosaic shower pan add pattern and substance. The result is a bold look that is contemporary yet has roots in the past.
